Clinics & Services

All GP practices are contracted to provide “essential services”, that is, basic treatment of ill people.  We also provide the following “additional services.”

  • Child Health Surveillance, together with the Health Visiting team.
  • Contraceptive services. 
  • Maternity services in the ante natal and post natal period, together with midwives from the Community Maternity Unit at the Vale of Leven Hospital.
  • Routine immunisation of children with the Health Visiting team.
  • Cervical smears.

We also hold contracts with NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde for the following “enhanced services”

  • Regular monitoring, by blood and urine tests, for patients on a range of drugs for arthritis and bowel problems.

HEALTH VISITING TEAM: 

The Health Visiting Team offer health advice and support to families with babies and pre-school children.  This includes help with parenting behaviour management and support to women with postnatal depression.  

The Health Visiting Team can be contacted Monday to Friday 8.30am to 16.30pm on 01389 821806

Community Immunisation Team

The community Immunisation Team carry out all childhood immunisations.  Immunisations are by appointment only and you will receive a letter from the Child Health Department.

DISTRICT NURSE TEAM:

The district nursing service is intended for those patients unable to come in to the surgery.  They provide a holistic assessment of your needs and will deliver nursing care in your own home or will refer you on to other agencies where appropriate.  Their remit if broad - ranging from wound care, assessment of continence issues, monitoring and treatment of long term conditions, to end of life care.

The district nursing team are available from 8.30am to 4.30pm 5 days a week, they can be contacted on 01389 811816.

Stop Smoking Classes
